Dramatic Finish in Dobele as ZRHK TENAX and HC Dragunas Share Points in 37:37 Thriller

ZRHK TENAX Dobele and HC Dragunas Klaipeda shared the points in a 37:37 draw on Sunday, March 1, in the Baltic Handball League. Dragunas led 23:17 at halftime, while TENAX produced a consistent second-half performance to secure the result.

The match began with the visitors taking control early. Goals from Vakhtangi Kharebashvili, Arturas Budraitis and Deividas Virbauskas helped Dragunas build a 6:2 advantage within the first five minutes. TENAX struggled to convert several early opportunities, and by the middle of the first half the gap had extended to seven goals.

Although the home side improved their efficiency toward the end of the half, including successful seven-meter conversions from Ņikita Pančenko, Dragunas maintained a six-goal cushion at the break (23:17).

Dragunas regained a narrow advantage in the final minutes, supported by further seven-meter goals from Virbauskas, who finished with 13 goals before being disqualified late in the game.

TENAX remained composed in the closing phase. Kristers Plūme reduced the deficit to one goal, and with three seconds remaining Mārtiņš Misulis converted the final attack to equalize at 37:37.

For ZRHK TENAX Dobele, Emīls Kurzemnieks led the scoring with 8 goals from 11 attempts. Mārtiņš Misulis added 6 goals, while Mārtiņš Misulis and Kristers Plūme contributed 6 and 3 goals respectively.
